This sweet faced teenaged doll is Ashley Olsen of the Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen Twin fame. Made by Mattel, she stands 9¾" tall on flat feet. Her knees bend, her waist twists and she has ballerina arms. Her blond saran hair falls to just past her shoulders. This Ashley has particularly pretty brows painted blond with individual darker blond brush strokes painted in. Her light blue eyes are heavily lined in black with just a hint of pale pink and brown shadow. The easy way to tell the twins apart as dolls is that Ashley always has the closed mouth smile. In real life, I understand that you can tell Ashley from Mary-Kate by the two little freckles near her left ear and she's a bit taller and a minute or two older. I really like the Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen twin dolls but I particularly like this one even more. This one is nearly lovely instead of just cute like the other Mary-Kate and Ashley dolls I've offered. She's a bit taller at 10¼" tall instead of the usual 9¾". She has a straight and tiny waist, longer legs and a less severe face sculpt. While this doll obviously has been made taller because in real life the girls have grown since they-ve been depicted in doll form, she still has the teenage body style but then in real life she won't even be 20 years old until June. As a doll, her painted face has light blue eyes, dark liner, light pink shadow, blond brows, and bubble gum pink lips. She has ballerina arms, bending legs and flat feet. This 9¾" tall cutie with Mattel Skipper's growing up, young teen body mold, is Mary-Kate Olsen made to depict the smiling faced celebrity twin of TV and movie fame. She and her sister, Ashley, got their start on the road to fame as the adorable baby, Michelle, in the television sitcom Full House and then later in the sitcom Two of a Kind. She and her sister have made over a dozen movies as they've grown up. This doll has ballerina arms, a twist waist, bending legs and flat feet. Her lemon blond hair is shoulder length. She has sparkly painted eye shadow, blue eyes and frosty pink lip color. An opalescent strand necklace with a tiny pink bead is tied at her neck. She is in excellent condition and nude. Her eyes are aqua blue lined with dark brown liner, pearly eyeshadow and pale brown highlighter. Her lips are a natural pink color. She wears yellow button earrings and ring. Skipper sized, this is Ashley Olsen, one of the child actor twins with the business empire. Made by Mattel, you can be sure the likeness is very close! This doll has a closed mouth smile, where the other twin, Mary Kate, always has an open mouth smile. Her painted face has light pink lip color, sky blue eyes and sparkly pink eye shadow. Her blond eyebrows have individual brush stokes, which is very nice. She was not made to wear earrings or ring so there are no holes in her ears or hand for them. She has a twist waist, pretty ballerina arms, bend legs and flat feet. She has slightly developed breasts and stands just under 10" tall. Her two-tone blond hair flips out slightly just at her shoulders. She wears a sparkly pink strand necklace. She is in excellent condition and nude. I love this doll because she has my favorite face, the Mackie face mold, on my second favorite body style, the Grown Up Skipper body. (My favorite body style is the poseable ballerina.) As far as I can recall, this is one of very few if the only time Mattel has put an adult doll face on one of their child doll bodies but it works very well. This doll has light blond hair that falls to the middle of her back, luscious ruby red lips and big green eyes for lots of color. She wears silver faceted earrings but was not made to wear a ring so there is no hole in her hand. She has the smaller breasts and very narrow hips, and nearly flat feet of the Grown Up Skipper body. Her knees bend and she has those lovely expressive hands on slightly bent arns. This doll is very charming. She does have a bit of red blush on her shoulders, thighs, and ankles; a result of the red velvet pant suit Mattel originally dressed her in. All of the Very Velvet dolls I've run across have this blush. Other than the blush, she is in excellent condition and nude. 1998 Totally Yo-yo Skipper has the new grown up Skipper body and a neat lever in her back that releases and takes up a yo-yo string. A snap on yo-yo is missing. Her yo-yo hand has a molded on bracelet and her palm points downward. Her other arm is the pretty and graceful ballerina arm. She was not made to wear earrings or ring so there are no holes for them. Her waist twists and her knees bend; her feet are not quite flat. Her two-tone blond hair falls straight to her lower back. Very pretty doll. Excellent condition and nude. This grown-up 11" tall Skipper has an innocent and youthful look with her shiny, straight blond hair and bangs. She has a twist waist, bend legs, slightly high-heeled feet and graceful ballerina type arms. She has wide, blue eyes, red lips, and yellow button earrings and ring. She is marked way down in price because she has a bad joint in her right hip. The bad joint does not make the leg swing loosely but does make it pose in an outward fashion and any rough play would probably destroy it. She would be darling used for display. This Skipper doll is the most recent evolution of the Skipper doll. She's taller at 11½" and has a mature teen body style. She has soft blond hair with a streak of pale brown falling from a middle part. Her hair falls all the way down to the backs of her knees. She has a twist waist, bend legs, slightly high-heeled feet and graceful ballerina type arms. Her lips are painted pink and her eyes are painted blue. The prettiest thing about the 1988 Teen Time Skipper are her huge, deep blue eyes and dark painted lashes. Her soft crimped, light blond hair ends just at her twist waist. Her bangs are thick and curly. She has the twist waist and graceful arms of the 10" dolls made between the late 1980's to mid 1990's. She was not made to wear earrings or ring so there are no holes. 1987 Teen Fun Skipper marks a new body style in Skipper history. Her body became taller and more expressive with graceful arms and shaping. This Skipper is 10" tall, which is 1/2" taller due to a ball joint twist waist that gives her much more flexibility in the waist area. She is a tad bigger in the breast. Her feet are flat.
