This handsome dude with clean cut good looks is a 12" vinyl male fashion doll made by Simba. His painted blond hair is molded with fine detail, he has blue painted eyes, dark brown brows and mauve colored lips. His arms are straight with palms to the rear. His waist twists, his briefs are molded on and his legs bend. He is in excellent condition and nude. | $5.00 #ML73 |

This is Mattel's 1978 Sun Lovin' Malibu Ken, a little worse for the wear but almost all of 30 years old. His molded blond hair is parted in a style that looks combed from right to left, It has a few scuff marks as do his eyebrows. His blue painted eyes fairly sparkle along with his wide life saver grin. His smile shows off white teeth that either have a bit of pink paint on them or rubbed off of them. The paint in the brief area that indicates tan lines at his waist and upper thighs is well scuffed, which is usual with all Malibu dolls from the era. He has a bit of damage to the fingertips of his right hand; I've tried to show it in the scan linked to his portrait picture. His waist is straight with slightly defined abdominal muscles and chest, straight arms with palms to the rear, bending legs and flat feet. Both knees bend and hold their bend though one is looser than the other. While this doll is not in excellent condition, he could be displayable and he is a Malibu doll from a significant period in Mattel's fashion doll history. 1983 Crystal Ken has dark brown molded hair that is parted and combed from left to right. He has the very movable twist 'n turn body with molded briefs, very defined abdomen and chest, bent and muscular arms, and bending legs. He is in excellent condition and nude. | $5.00 #ML71 |

I believe these are Max Steel swim fins as they have a thumbs-up logo impressed in the tops of the flexible blue vinyl that I've seen on other Max Steel fashions. The fin is 3½" long from heel to point. The foot area is 1½" long by ½" wide. Marks on the bottom of each fin are "©1999 Mattel Inc/China" Excellent condition. | $3.00 #MLOF23 |

Mattel’s Max Steel is the most handsome male action figure-doll that I've seen with his rakish molded hair style, deep blue eyes and movie star good looks. This doll's upper torso is molded in black but still shows his highly molded abdominal and chest muscles as if he is wearing a very tight wet suit. The groin area is molded as if he is wearing gray briefs. His legs and arms are flesh toned. He has a molded high tech cuff on his left wrist and a silver painted tattoo his upper right biceps. The really neat thing about Max Steel are the many joints and swivel joints in his body. He is nearly infinitely positionable. There are swivel joints in his upper arms, upper thighs and calves and joints at his elbows and knees that actually look like elbows and knees. He is also moveable at neck, waist, wrist and ankles. Post 1995 Ken with the 1990 Alan head mold. Ken's hair is a highly detailed mold of dark brown to nearly black hair brushed straight back from his face and rather longish in the back against his neck. 1974 Hasbro doll called The Defender. He is made of light weight vinyl with straight legs, arms and waist. His molded body is well defined and his serious face is simply painted with black brows, eyes and hair. He has a foot length of 1¾". He has a few paint rubs in his hair but is in excellent condition. This black, long sleeved, pants length, coverall is tagged "GI Joe by Hasbro China" in black print on a silk tag. The coveralls have a hook and loop closure. The soft rubber, high laced boots are just shy of 2" long and 2" high with about a 2¾" circumference at the calf opening. Included in the accessories are a hand gun, head phones, a semicircular black plastic disc with fin and, I'm guessing, a small base for a square pole. All of the items came to me together but do not necessarily go together. The coveralls are in good condition except that something was dripped on one leg. I haven't tried to clean it off. G.I. Joe by Hasbro has Hasbro trademarks on his right hip. He has molded blond hair, a very detailed face mold including molding features at his eyebrows and frown lines between his brows. He has highly defined muscular chest and abs, articulation at elbows, wrists, waist, knees and ankles. His hands are molded into grip positions. He has camouflage paint on his face and chest and black grip gloves painted onto his hands. He is in excellent condition and nude. This doll is also listed under Poseable Dolls. These military or army accessories all came from a little boy's collection of 12" action figures. All are green plastic, highly detailed and in excellent condition. Green and black military army boots of soft vinyl or rubber are 2" from toe to heel, a little over 1½" from heel to calf and 2½" around the calf at the top opening. The only marks on the boots are an L for the left boot and an R for the right boot. The vinyl is wonderfully molded with texture in the green uppers, laces and even the eyelets. Excellent condition. Green and black camouflaged GI Joe military vest made from heavy pliable vinyl; one piece forms back and front when bent over at the shoulders. Highly detailed molding even shows ribbed texture in waist straps, edge stitching and gathering tucks at front. The vest has a GI Joe decal at right breast and a decal depicting a moon and three lightening strikes plus the numbers 6 and 4 on the left breast. Excellent condition. Bulky black GI Joe vest with unopening green pockets. The vest has some kind of canteen molded onto the vest in the back hip area and an air hose molded onto the vest over the shoulder area. This 12" action figure helmet is very realistic. It is double layered plastic and is covered snuggly with netting. It has a brown elastic strap strapped over one end and a very real and operational chin strap and clip. This doll looks more than kind and it's hard to believe he's really a beast from Disney's Beauty and The Beast movie! Made by Mattel, he has soft, rooted, strawberry blond hair with bangs, big blue painted eyes and a pleasant smile. His arms are palm to rear; he has bend legs, a straight waist and a 'soft' six pack for chest definition. His feet are flat. Cut hair and a small dent in his finger could make this Beast doll a real steal for the rerooter with an Emory file. Besides those defects, which have caused him to be considerably lowered in price, this doll is in excellent condition. He has straight arms that are palms to the rear, a gently defined abdominal and chest area, painted eyes, bending legs, a straight waist and flat feet. He's only 12" tall but he seems even bigger. That's Hercules from Legends of the Ancient Lands series by Kid Kore. He is marked 1995 Kid Kore. The gold Gladiator-like bracelets are banded on with manufacturers clear rubber bands and I believe they must be original to him. Of the two dolls we have of him, this one has unusually large hips 2¾" across that allow some lateral movement. His arms are partially bent, palms face the sides, and his legs bend. His blond hair might have been cut but if it has its been done very well. Excellent condition. - nude. Thanks Eric for identifying this doll! |
