![]() Lady Lovely Locks |
Just when you think you have found a solemn faced little lass, these darling Lady Lovely Locks and friends dolls seem to give you a mischievious little smile. The charm of the dolls lies in their wonderful hair and beautiful gowns all based on a happy cartoon series from 1980, aptly named Lady Lovely Locks. The dolls are 7 ¾" tall with straight waists, very slightly developed breasts, straight arms, bending legs and flat feet. While they were made by a company called "Those Characters from Cleveland, Inc" they have bodies so similar to Mattel's Stacy that a skillful customizer can switch bodies and heads. This is good to know because many Lady Lovely Locks dolls suffer from the unsightly spots that afflict certain Mattel dolls of the same era. It is our understanding that these spots are a result of a production method where chunks of old vinyl were mixed with new vinyl in the molding process. Apparently the different vinyls have aged differently overtime yeilding spots in the vinyl. We have never seen this spread from doll to doll as some have feared. The fact that the spots never appear on doll faces should assure everyone that the spots will not spread. | We are sold out of these dolls. |
